WRF Accepting RFPs on Climate, Water Quality, Operations

The Water Research Foundation is still accepting proposals on four requests for proposals (RFPs) that were issued in November 2009. The nation’s leading drinking water research organization sponsors objective, peer-reviewed science to help solve water utilities’ most pressing needs.

“These projects represent the cutting edge of drinking water science,” said Chris Rayburn, director of research management at the Water Research Foundation. “The widely varying projects will address scientific and regulatory challenges associated with climate change, greenhouse gas emissions, water quality and operational issues. Our ultimate goal is always the same: protecting public health and keeping water safe, affordable and sustainable.” The proposal deadline for 4222, 4236 and 4260 as outlined below is Feb. 15. The proposal deadline for 4224 as outlined below is Feb. 5. Please send proposals to: Proposals — RFP (Number), Water Research Foundation, 6666 W. Quincy Ave., Denver, CO 80235. The projects include:

  • Toolbox for Water Utility Energy and Greenhouse Gas Emission Management: an International Review RFP 4224
  • Reservoir Operations and Maintenance Strategies RFP 4222
  • Workforce Health and Safety: Prevention Through Design RFP 4236, and
  • EDC/PPCP Benchmarking and Monitoring Strategies for Drinking Water Utilities RFP 4260.
