Ampacet Corp. Joins Alliance for PE Pipe

Ampacet has become a member of the Alliance for PE Pipe, an organization that focuses on the issues of water conservation and water infrastructure in North America, according to a recent press release. The organization’s efforts are primarily educational and are aimed at providing insight to municipalities, many of which are not familiar with polyethylene pipe products offered by the industry.

Ampacet is a leader in the area of color and additive masterbatches for HDPE pipe, and wholeheartedly supports this concept. “We are committed to furthering the use of polyethylene pipe, which has become the product of choice for our future water infrastructure needs,” says Joe Serbaroli, strategic business manager at Ampacet. “Local communities concerned about responsible infrastructure for water conservation, the cost of water infrastructure and the care of our environment, all stand to benefit from the use of PE pipe.”

Founded in 1937, Ampacet Corp. employs more than 1,500 people and has revenues exceeding $725 million. Headquartered in Tarrytown, N.Y., the company operates technical and color development centers and manufacturing sites throughout the Americas, Asia, and Europe.
