Aquatech Nominates Two Severn Trent Products for Award
Two Severn Trent Services products have been short listed and nominated for awards at the Aquatech Innovation Awards on Sept. 29 during the Aquatech Amsterdam 2008 exhibition, according to a July 17 press release.
The Birmingham, UK-based firm is the only company to receive two nominations in this year's awards, with the jury of experts from the water industry nominating the SmartMeter™ SM150VR+ solution for the "Process Control Technology and Process Automation" category and the MicroDynamics™ microwave ultraviolet (UV) disinfection system for the "Water Treatment" category.
The SmartMeter SM150VR+ is the company's latest development and is a new low-cost intelligent water meter. It can upgrade to an encoded output, which enables the meter to be read using an AMR (Automatic Meter Reading) device.
The MicroDynamics™ microwave ultraviolet (UV) disinfection system uses new electrode-less microwave UV technology to offer a three-year lamp life guarantee.
