Stewardship Summit Gets Top National Support

The National Recreation and Park Association announced that eight national organizations dedicated to conservation and sustainability efforts will serve as supporting organizations for the first-ever National Summit on Environmental Stewardship for People, Parks, and Public Lands on May 4-7 in Portland, Oregon.

The event will bring together leaders and advocates of parks, recreation, conservation, and sustainable practices to address the challenges of building environmental stewardship and advancing local leadership in sustainability.

Supporting organizations are offering advance notice of the event to their members and advocates, and will be providing onsite support through speakers and other resources. They are the American Society of Landscape Architects, the Children and Nature Network, the Conservation Fund, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Greenscapes Program, the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America, the National Wildlife Federation, the Outdoor Industry Association, and the Student Conservation Association.
