Pittcon announces ACS Co-programming for Second Year
The Pittsburgh Conference is pleased to announce the continuation of its partnership with the ACS Division of Analytical Chemistry at Pittcon 2008, March 1-7, 2008, Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, New Orleans, La. Based on the success of last year’s venture, the ACS-DAC is expanding its co-programming in the Pittcon Technical Program by offering eight Invited Symposia, six Organized Contributed Sessions, and one Poster Session at Pittcon 2008.
When asked about the benefits of the partnership, 2008 Program Chair Jane Chan commented, Co-programming with the ACS-Division of Analytical Chemistry (DAC) is a win-win situation for attendees of both meetings. It allows the Pittcon attendees to have access to an expanded technical program provided by the rich resources of ACS-DAC, and the ACS-DAC attendees to experience the world's largest exposition of analytical instrumentation at Pittcon.”
The ACS symposium, “The Environmental Impact of Hurricane Katrina on New Orleans and the Surrounding Area”, will be of special interest to members of the scientific community. Also, we are honored to have Dr. Leroy Hood, who will deliver this year’s Plenary Lecture Systems Biology and Systems Medicine, as a participant of the symposium titled “Interdisciplinary Analytical Chemistry”.
