    The Model DCA-23 Seawater Dechlorination Analyzer from Electro-Chemical Devices (ECD) is a low maintenance measurement solution that requires no chemicals to monitor seawater chlorine levels accurately in a wide range of industrial process and municipal water treatment applications.

    Seawater has multiple process industry uses, including heat exchange systems at LNG terminals, oil/gas refineries, electric power plants and SWAC systems (salt water air conditioning) in commercial buildings. The DCA-23 is a single-purpose analyzer that monitors chlorine in seawater from 0.0 to 2.00 ppm. It features an economical, low-maintenance design that requires no chemicals.

    The analyzer measures the pH, temperature, and Total Residual Oxidant (TRO) of seawater and converts them into an equivalent ppm chlorine value, which is displayed to conform with existing conventions. It features a minimum detection limit (MDL) of 0.014 ppm and a limit of quantification (LOQ) of 0.044 ppm, making the DCA-23 Analyzer suitable for monitoring in environments with the most stringent dechlorination regulations.

    The DCA-23 features three sensors, pH, TRO and temperature. The pH sensor measures from 0-14 pH, the TRO sensor measures from ±1500 mV and the temperature sensor measures from 0-100°C.  The DCA-23 with its tri-parameter monitoring, is the ideal seawater chlorine analyzer for a wide range of applications.

      Supercritical Fluid Technologies, Inc. introduces the completely self-contained SFT-10 Liquid Carbon Dioxide Pump, and advanced Peltier (thermoelectric) technology that can achieve high pressure without the need for an external cooling bath.

      The pump can deliver carbon dioxide at pressures up to 10,000 psi (69 MPa) at flow rates from 0.01 to 24.0 ml/min.  These characteristics make the SFT-10 an ideal pump for use in supercritical fluid extraction, and a variety of other high pressure applications, including supercritical fluid reaction chemistry and chromatography.

      The SFT-10 utilizes reliable, dual sapphire syringe pump technology to achieve high pressures rapidly. The Peltier chiller has superior cooling capability.  It maintains the temperature at the pump heads low enough to ensure the carbon dioxide remains liquid.

      The standard operating mode is “constant pressure” where the pump will maintain a pressure set point.  An optional constant flow mode, from 0.01 to 24.0 ml/min., is available. 

      The SFT-10 may be acquired as a stand alone CO2 pump or used as part of Supercritical Fluid Technologies’ SFT-110 / SFT-110XW Supercritical Fluid Extractors.

        Until now those wanting outdoor air quality information have been limited to using diffusion tubes which are variable in accuracy and unable to give real-time data or optical reference analysers, which lack portability and are hugely expensive. The S500 ENV meets the need for accurate real-time air quality information in a portable lightweight package that is easily affordable for short term studies, hot-spot monitoring, and taking intermittent measurements.

        The S500 ENV comes equipped with a lithium battery capable of 8 hours continuous operation before charging is required, and can log over 8,100 measurements – more than enough for a full day in the field. Customers can choose from a range of interchangeable sensor heads including nitrogen dioxide, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, ozone, hydrogen sulphide, sulphur dioxide, ammonia, and VOCs. A simple to use software package lets them download and manipulate data on their PC. And by adding the water and dust proof enclosure, the S500 ENV can be left in situ for a number of days, allowing for trend data to be captured.

          The product ensures continuous reliability and requires virtually no maintenance, featuring a precision flow sensor element with no moving parts to foul, clog, or maintain. Unlike alternative technologies, such as magnetic floats, capillary bypass, or rotameters, the FS10A has no cavities, orifices, or dead-legs that can trap fluids and lead to contaminated samples, which preserves sample integrity and provides faster system sampling times.

          The monitor is ideal for use with nearly all types of process and emissions sampling systems, including gas chromatographs (GCs), mass spectrometers, optical spectrometers, photometers, and others. 

          The FS10A Analyzer Flow Switch/Monitor outputs include a 1A relay settable for NO or NC operation and with user-settable for failsafe, hysteresis and/or time delay, and a 4-20mA analog output for trending. In addition to SIL 2 compliance, agency approvals for the FS10A Analyzer Flow Switch/Monitor include FM, FMc, ATEX and IECEx for hazardous location installations.

The color-coded labeling system of the SPCC ensures the correct Spill Pac will be used every time. This system consists of four Spill Pacs with unique color-coded labeling with matching color-coded equipment labels. Potential leak sources can be identified by placing color-coded labels on equipment before a spill or leak occurs. In the event of a spill, just grab the matching color-coded Pac for the equipment label to have the exact sorbents and pads needed to contain and clean up the spill or leak. The SPCC System includes four vacuum-packed Spill Pacs: The orange Combo Pac, yellow Chemical & Hazmat Pac, blue Oil & Oil-Based Pac and the pink Battery Pac. Each Pac will contain or clean up to a 10 gallon spill.

                    The product’s design features a centrally-located cone inside a tube, which interacts with the fluid flow and reshapes the velocity profile to create a lower pressure region immediately downstream.  The pressure difference exhibited between the static line pressure and the low pressure created downstream of the cone can be measured via two pressure sensing taps.  One tap is placed slightly upstream of the cone and the other is located downstream of the cone.  The pressure difference can then be incorporated into a derivation of the Bernoulli equation to determine the fluid flow rate.
