The contest attracted a record number of entries in 10 categories ranging from Air Quality and Climate to Wastewater.
Environmental Protection, part of the 1105 Media Inc. Security, Safety and Environmental Protection Group, announced Nov. 16 that 10 companies have won first-place awards in the 2012 Environmental Protection New Product of the Year contest. The contest attracted a record number of entries in 10 categories ranging from Air Quality and Climate to Wastewater.
"We heartily congratulate of the companies that entered the contest and made it so competitive, particularly in the Health and Safety/Cleanup and New Technology-Industry categories," said Jerry Laws, editorial director of www.eponline.com. "The judges' scores in every category were extremely close, which testifies to the quality and innovation in each product that was entered this year."
The winning products are featured on the website, and Environmental Protection will present a trophy for each one of them to the winning company.
All of the contest entries were products that were introduced to the market between Oct. 1, 2011, and Oct 1, 2012. Two veterans of the environmental industry served as judges -– Paul S. Farber, PE DEE, of Sargent & Lundy, LLC in Chicago, IL and Angela Neville, JD, of Carrollton, TX. Ms. Neville served for many years as the editor of Environmental Protection magazine.
