AWE Slates Workshop on Conservation Tracking Tool
The Alliance for Water Efficiency (AWE) will hold a workshop about its Conservation Tracking Tool on May 5 at the Lower Colorado River Authority, Hancock Building, General Office Complex Board Room
in Austin, Texas.
Registration is free, but space is limited. Please register by April 23 by sending name, affiliation and contact information to Amanda Dewees at [email protected] or by calling, 512.473.3200, ext 2230.
The workshop will provide an overview of the tool, which is designed to help water utilities in the planning and evaluation of conservation programs through the analysis of water savings, costs, and other benefits. Managers, water conservation planners, program implementers, and utility staff will benefit from learning how the tool can predict water conservation effects on long-term costs and short-term revenues. Being able to collectively plan and evaluate conservation programs will benefit long-term integrated resource planning as well as short-term drought management.
Mary Ann Dickinson, founder and executive director of the Alliance for Water Efficiency, will speak at the workshop. With more than 35 years of experience in water and natural resources, Dickinson is familiar with issues facing water resource planners and water utilities.
The tracking tool is free to current Alliance for Water Efficiency members. To receive a copy, members should complete the Terms of Use Agreement at the AWE Web site. Non-members can get more details at the Web site or at the workshop.
