OSWER Sets Recycling Video Town Hall
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Office of Solid Waste and Emergency Response will hold its second video town hall discussion from 1:30 to 3 p.m. EST on Feb. 23.
The discussion will cover:
-
reducing your carbon footprint through reducing, reusing, and recycling. Practicing the three Rs also is effective for lowering the production of greenhouse gases, which cause climate change; and
-
the environmental justice analysis of the Definition of Solid Waste rule. In January, EPA began requesting public input on a draft plan for assessing the potential impacts of its hazardous waste recycling rule on low-income, minority and tribal populations.
To attend, access the streaming video feed online at www.epa.gov/oswer/videotownhall.htm. You can e-mail questions to [email protected] before or during the meeting. We will select a representative sample of questions and answer as many as possible. Please include your name or organization when submitting a question.
