Hydraulic Institute Calls for Pump Guide Reviewers

The Hydraulic Institute (HI), under the approval of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), is seeking qualified individuals in North America to participate in the review process for the draft of updated Standard ANSI/HI 9.6.3, Rotodynamic Pumps for Allowable Operating Region.

This standard applies to rotodynamic (centrifugal) pumps and rotodynamic (vertical) pumps

This guideline describes the effects of operating a rotodynamic pump at rates of flow that are greater or less than the rate of flow at the pump’s best efficiency point.

HI is seeking pump users and specifiers, producers, standards developers, government agencies, and general interest groups.

To participate in the ANSI/HI canvass, contact Karen Anderson, administrator, Technical Affairs, at kanderson@Pumps.org or call 973.267.700 x123.

The Hydraulic Institute is the largest association of pump producers and suppliers to the pump industry in North America and is a global authority on pumps and pumping systems.
