Artemis Competition Names Top 50 Water Companies
The Artemis Project sponsored the first Top 50 Water Companies Competition to identify the leading game-changing technologies that provide venture grade investment opportunities in the water sector. Winners were announced on Earth Day.
The Rating Matrix combines visionary technology, intellectual porpety and know-how with an evaluation of the company management team and its investors. The judging criteria included ipCapital Group's proprietary patent scoring algorithm, ipDimensional Scoring, which objectively ranks companies within a particular sector based on the relative value of its patents.
This award distinguishes advanced water and water-related technology companies as leaders in their trade for helping to build water into a high-growth industry. Here are the top 50:

The competition also selected five established water-related companies to honor for pioneering technologies that they are developing in-house. Those companies are Eka Systems Inc., Energy Recovery Inc., IDE Technologies Ltd., Netafim USA, and Schumberger Water Services.
In addition to supporting the launch of innovative advanced water technology and its application within leading corporations, The Artemis Project focuses upon active participation in water industry events such as WEFTEC, the Berkeley Water Center Summit and venture capital conferences such as Going Green. It also participates in policy initiatives such as reducing emissions of greenhouse gas in California through water conservation.
