Calif. Workshops Focus on Drought Water Usage
The California Department of Water Resources and the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation will help urban water suppliers address continuing dry conditions at three workshops this month.
The workshops will help suppliers review and revise their drought water usage plans and prepare for rationing, if necessary. At each workshop, guest speakers will share local experiences, challenges, and solutions in coping with water shortages in their regions. The meetings are a continuation of similar workshops hosted by the two water agencies last year.
The workshops will begin at 9:30 a.m. and end by 3 p.m. The first is March 16 at Santa Clara Valley Water District, 5750 Almaden Expressway, San Jose. The second is March 18 at Sonoma County Water Agency, 404 Aviation Blvd., Santa Rosa. The third is March 23 at Inland Empire Utilities Agency, 6075 Kimball Ave., Chino.
