Trinity, Environmental Services Plan Merger
Dallas-based Trinity Consultants, an environmental consulting firm with offices nationwide and in China, announced on July 28 its merger with Albuquerque-based consulting firm, Environmental Services, Inc. (ESI).
The merger will provide expanded resources to assist industrial facilities in New Mexico regarding environmental issues such as permitting requirements, compliance management, and climate change-related challenges, particularly significant at a time when companies face recently increased state regulatory requirements related to excess emissions permitting and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reporting. The combination of Trinity's broad, multi-sector experience and ESI's deep, local knowledge will benefit local facilities with the technical challenges associated with New Source Review permitting, New Source Performance Standard and Maximum Achievable Control Technology requirements, and complex air quality dispersion modeling studies.
Historically, Trinity has served clients in New Mexico through its offices in Arizona and Texas. The merger enables Trinity to enhance its New Mexico presence with the addition of multiple experienced staff who know local industry and regulatory requirements.
Brian Burdorf, Trinity's regional director for the Southwest, expressed his support for the merger. "Trinity is pleased to join together with the very capable staff of ESI in serving New Mexico. The strength of ESI's local relationships and regulatory knowledge combined with Trinity's large staff and technical expertise will be a powerful resource for local industry seeking environmental support. We're also excited about the career opportunities created through this affiliation for Trinity and ESI staff."
ESI was founded by Sam Cudney, a Qualified Environmental Professional with more than 32 years of experience. With particular expertise in the oil and gas industry, ESI is well known for its client focus and ability to respond. According to Cudney, "Trinity is made of the kind of people we like to work with, and with their resources, we'll be able to move projects faster and better."
Founded in 1974, Trinity Consultants performs more than 2,000 environmental consulting projects annually to address industry's regulatory and environmental management issues.
