USGBC Founder to Speak at Built Green Expo

John Picard, environmental consultant and founder of the U.S. Green Building Council, will speak at the first Built Green Expo on June 13-14 at Santa Barbara City College in California.

The free event will showcase the latest in green products and services and innovative technologies. The conference includes various educational seminars, panels, and demonstrations on such topics as energy efficiency, material selection, and sustainable approaches to design and construction.

Other confirmed speakers are Ernst Ulrich von Weizsäcker, dean of the University of California, Santa Barbara Donald Bren School of Environmental Science & Management; Bill Hayward, chair of the Forest Stewardship Council-US Board of Directors and president and chief executive officer of Hayward Lumber Co.
