AWWA Webcast Tells How to Implement Low-Pressure Membrane Plants

On Aug. 11, the American Water Works Association (AWWA) will host a webcast titled "Implementing Low-Pressure Membrane Plants ─ The Utility Perspective." The webcast will review critical steps in membrane plant design, pre-procurement, and construction.

An increasing number of utilities are considering employing membrane technology, so this detail-oriented webcast will review specific aspects of membrane treatment plant design, identify important construction considerations, and provide lessons learned from individuals already operating membrane treatment plants.

Webcast presenters include Andrew Farr, manager Treatment Capital, Region of Peel, Ontario, Canada; Robert Michaelson, Water Systems manager, Manitowoc Public Utilities, Wis.; Gary Witcher, manager of Water Treatment, California Water Service Co., Calif.
