Kevin O'Grady Named 1105 Group Publisher
1105 Government Information Group, a multi-platform business-to-business media and publishing company with print, online and events assets serving the government markets, on April 1 announced the appointment of accomplished publishing and digital media executive Kevin O’Grady as a group publisher, effective April 1, 2010.
He will oversee 1105 Government Information Group’s Dallas-based security and health and safety division, which includes the Security Products, Occupational Health & Safety and Environmental Protection brands. The announcement was made by Jennifer Weiss, vice president and group publisher, 1105 Government Information Group.
O’Grady was most recently vice president, Publications of Canon Communications, the leading publisher, digital media, and trade show producer for advanced manufacturing and technology industries. During his more than 12 years at Canon Communications, O’Grady also worked as vice president, Sales and Marketing and as publisher and sales manager of their Plastics Group and Electronics Groups. During this time he led both the Publication and Digital groups to achieve their greatest revenues, contributions and contribution margins. In addition, he participated in multiple acquisitions; start ups and initiated the development of over 100 new digital and online products.
