Rhode Island Resource Recovery Corp.
Rhode Island Resource Recovery Corporation (RIRRC), owner and operator or the state's Central Landfill and recycling services, is holding a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new statewide recycling program. The event will be held at the newly renovated Materials Recycling Facility (MRF), a $16.9 million dollar investment in machinery that makes a new recycling program possilble.
Joining RIRRC for the launch event on June 6 at 12:30 will be Gov. Lincoln D. Chafee, Lt. Gov. Elizabeth Roberts, Senate President M. Teresa Paiva-Weed, and municipal leaders from across the state.
The event will include a ribbon cutting and tour of the newly renovated Materials Recyling Facility and a speaking segment where governors will discuss the new program and what the change will mean for Rhode Island.
