The EPA has relaunched its Guidance Portal, a centralized online resource for accessing active agency guidance documents related to air quality, water protection, hazardous waste management, and other environmental programs.
The portal is intended to serve as a one-stop site for businesses, organizations, and the public to locate official EPA guidance materials such as memoranda, policy statements, handbooks, and manuals. It is designed to improve transparency and help users quickly find information needed to understand and comply with environmental regulations.
EPA guidance documents explain how the agency interprets underlying statutes and regulations, offering clarity on technical, statutory, or policy issues. Superseded guidance will not appear on the site, ensuring only current documents are available.
The relaunch is part of an ongoing effort to streamline access to regulatory information and reduce administrative burdens. The portal does not include internal EPA guidance or documents intended solely for interagency use, nor does it contain documents with the force and effect of law.
Please see EPA’s Guidance Portal for additional information.
