EP Honors 2014 New Product of the Year Winners
Four companies won top honors in Environmental Protection's annual contest to showcase the industry's best new products.
Environmental Protection, part of the 1105 Media Inc. Security, Safety, and Health Group, on March 10 announced the first-place winners in the 2014 Environmental Protection New Product of the Year contest. Since 2010, this contest has been recognizing the outstanding achievements of industry manufacturers whose products are considered particularly noteworthy for making environmental professionals' jobs a little easier.
"We heartily congratulate all of the companies that entered the contest, particularly the many entrants in the Health and Safety/Cleanup category," said Jerry Laws, editorial director of eponline.com. "The judges' scores in every category were extremely close, which testifies to the quality and innovation in each product
that was entered this year."
The winning products are featured on the website, and Environmental Protection will award a trophy to each winning company. All of the contest entries were products that were introduced to the market during the 2014 calendar year. Three experts from the environmental industry served as judges: Traci-Anne Boyle, MBA, CIH, CSP, LAC of AirQuest Environmental, Inc. in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; Timothy Alan Grobe, CSP, CHMM, CET, ASCS of Cross Environmental Services, Inc. (CES) in Crystal Springs, Fla.; and Angela Neville, JD, of Carrollton, Texas. Boyle is the founder of AirQuest Environmental and has more than 20 years of diverse
environmental consulting and industrial hygiene experience. Grobe is the director of safety and health and a safety engineer at CES. Neville is an environmental attorney who served for many years as the editor of Environmental Protection magazine.
Winners were awarded in the following categories:
- Health & Safety/Cleanup: Brady Corporation, Brady SPC High Visibility Safety & Chemical Mat
- New Technology - Industry: New Pig, Grippy Mat High-Traffic Adhesive-Backed Floor Mat
- Software/SAAS: Dakota Software, Proactivity 10.0
- Water: Onset – U20L HOBO Water Level Loggers
