EPA Accepting Proposals for San Francisco Bay Preservation
The EPA will distribute grants totaling $5 million.
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is now accepting proposals for grants to preserve and restore the San Francisco Bay. Focusing on watersheds, wetlands and fighting polluted runoff, these grants will total $5 million.
The proposals, which need to be submitted no later than July 9, 2013, will hone in on water quality and the improvement of aquatic life.

Since 2008, about $130 million has been contributed to the restoration of more than 4,000 acres of wetlands.
