Citation Technologies Announces New Leadership Team for Environmental, Health and Safety Regulatory Compliance Solutions

IT industry veteran and new Citation President & CEO David Carlson will be making cloud-based EHS regulatory compliance ubiquitous with Citation Compliance Suite.

Citation Technologies, an industry leader in delivering Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) global compliance solutions, has announced the appointments of four new executive leadership team members tasked with driving global adoption of software-as-a-service (SaaS) EHS risk and compliance management solutions.

Well-known and respected IT industry veteran David Carlson has been named president and CEO of Citation Technologies. Carlson will lead the company to further innovate and accelerate global sales penetration of Citation’s Compliance Suite, a selection of cloud-based software solutions for Fortune 1000 companies looking to maintain compliance and manage change in a rapidly evolving regulated environment while strengthening business sustainability, advancing corporate responsibility, and promoting operational excellence.

“Complying with changing governmental agency regulations using cloud-based solutions makes the process of managing and staying ahead of regulatory changes easy for any business organization,” said David Carlson, president and CEO of Citation Technologies. “Companies need to be diligent when it comes to compliance versus risking the alternative.”

The EPA’s report on 2011 Compliance and Enforcement Annual Results, for example, estimates the dollar value of complying actions to be taken in response to the EPA’s enforcement actions was $19 billion.

Carlson added, “Citation’s new leadership team is ready to deliver new service innovations and expand international reach of our compliance solutions. This will help customers to easily conduct regulatory research through task management, data collection, and compliance status reporting to manage change and monitor risk without placing undue risk and potential violations on the corporate entity, general public, and natural resources.”

The new executive team brings proven track records in IT corporate management, data management, operations, sales leadership and business finance from key roles at some of the world’s largest public and private technology companies. Three new senior executives all reporting to Carlson are: Mark Hutchinson, Senior VP of Global Content and Product Management; Sam Buffington, CFO; and Tom Bonetto, Senior VP of Sales and Marketing.
