APWA, SWANA Co-locate Annual Conferences in Boston

The American Public Works Association's (APWA) 2010 International Public Works Congress & Exposition (Aug. 15-18) and the Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA) WASTECON 2010 (Aug. 15-17) will be co-located this year at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center.

An estimated 8,000 professionals are expected to attend.

Although the two conferences will each operate as separate events, attendees will be able to interact with vendors in the approximately 140,000 square feet of combined exhibit space and participate in educational sessions.

"By joining WASTECON with APWA’s Congress, the two Associations will be providing solid waste and public works professionals with the best training, education and exhibit opportunities available,” said John H. Skinner, Ph.D. SWANA, CEO and executive director.
