GSA Awards Aquifer Solutions Schedule for Cleanup

The U.S. General Services Administration recently awarded a Multiple Award Schedule (MAS) contract under schedule 899.8, Remediation Services to Aquifer Solutions, Inc., a woman-owned small business based in Evergreen, Colo.

The company remediates hard-to-treat contaminants in soil and groundwater. According to Wilson Clayton, senior vice president, “The GSA contract will help Aquifer Solutions to leverage our prior successes as a federal facility prime remediation contractor. Aquifer Solutions has a unique blend of industry-leading experience in remediation of explosives, chlorinated solvents, metals, and perchlorate as well as other constituents, and we are excited about continuing to expand our federal client base.”

The company is a full-service design-build firm with experience spanning infrastructure and construction projects to vadose zone and groundwater characterization and in-situ groundwater remediation. The company has worked in 16 U.S. states as well as Canada, Mexico, and Australia. Its clients include private firms, law firms, and consultant partners.

The GSA schedule is a federal contracting vehicle that can be used by all federal agencies to procure the company's remediation services. The schedule allows multiple awards under various programs, including the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). The streamlined procurement approach reduces the time required for federal agencies to procure services because GSA has reviewed the firms’ capabilities, negotiated billing rates, and prequalified Aquifer Solutions, Inc. to provide environmental remediation services.
