Bruno Steis Becomes CEO of inge watertechnologies

Bruno Steis, who left Siemens Venture Capital GmbH (SVC) one year ago to join the Executive Board of inge watertechnologies AG, is now chief executive officer of the ultrafiltration technology company.

Steis spent nine years at SVC as an investment partner specializing in environmental and water treatment technologies. Prior to joining SVC, the now 51-year-old qualified engineer occupied a number of management positions with an international focus over a 15-year period, primarily in the areas of sales, marketing, and business development.

Wolfgang K. Distler, who turns 60 next year, will continue to advise the company.

"In his four years at the helm of inge watertechnologies AG, Wolfgang K. Distler has skillfully guided the company, together with our Chief Technology Officer Dr. Peter Berg, down a path of continuous growth," Steis said. "With a global reach enhanced by its network of partners, inge has implemented numerous reference products around the globe featuring its home-grown ultrafiltration technology."

"Close collaboration and an atmosphere of mutual trust over the past year have enabled us to carefully prepare this change in the Executive Board. Bruno Steis has played an active part in shaping the development of inge, particularly in his role as chairman of the Supervisory Board," Distler said.

The company inge watertechnologies AG, based in the town of Greifenberg on the Ammersee lake in Bavaria, Germany, employs more than 80 staff and provides ultrafiltration technology, a membrane process used to treat drinking water, process water, wastewater and sea water.
