MWH Joins EPA's Climate Leaders

MWH, a provider of environmental engineering, construction, and strategic consulting services, is now participating in the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Climate Leaders Program.

As a member of the program, MWH has committed to implementing a comprehensive, long-term strategy to address climate change, including completing a corporate-wide inventory of its greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and reducing its impact on the global environment by setting and achieving long-term GHG reduction goals. MWH will report its progress annually to the EPA.

"At MWH, our commitment to leadership in environmental management is embedded in our culture, in how we approach our projects, and how we run our business," said Alan J. Krause, president and chief operating officer. "Climate change is, without question, one of the critical issues of the 21st century and MWH is committed to helping manage the causes of climate change."

"EPA applauds our corporate partners who are reducing their climate footprints in cost-effective ways," said Stephen L. Johnson, EPA administrator. "Not only is MWH contributing to this country's energy independence, MWH is proving that businesses can save green by going green."
