Angelo Elected 2009 WWEMA Chair

Dave Angelo, vice president and general manager of Fairbanks Morse Pump of Kansas City, Kan., was named chair of the Water and Wastewater Equipment Manufacturers Association (WWEMA) during the organization’s 100th annual meeting held in November in Tucson, Ariz.

Elected by WWEMA’s board of directors, Angelo will lead the association during 2009 as chair of the executive committee.

With a 32-year career in the water and wastewater industry, Angelo is well qualified to serve as WWEMA’s chair. He has held leadership positions in the organization since 2006, serving on its board of directors since 2000.

He is joined on the WWEMA executive committee by chair-elect Ernest Childs, Ph.D., president emeritus of ArchaeaSolutions, Inc. of Tyrone, Ga.; vice chair Dan Durda, president/chief executive officer of Aeration Industries International of Chaska, Minn.; treasurer Deborah LaVelle, vice president of sales and marketing for Aqua-Aerobic Systems of Loves Park, Ill.; immediate past chair Thomas Mills, marketing and business development vice president of Severn Trent Services of Fort Washington, Pa.; and president Dawn Kristof Champney of WWEMA, which is based in Washington, D.C.

Members new to the Board of Directors include Tammy Bernier, vice president and chief operating officer of Duperon Corporation of Saginaw, Mich.; James Board, president of Weir Specialty Pumps of Salt Lake City, Utah; and Anthony Picozzi, senior vice president of MIOX Corporation of Albuquerque, N.M.
