Parkson Inaugurates Regional Office in Dubai
Parkson Corp., a wholly owned subsidiary of Axel Johnson Inc., successfully inaugurated in October its new regional office to support its growing business in the Middle East and North Africa.
The new office, located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, was officially inaugurated with a cocktail and dinner event in Dubai. Contractors, engineers, and consultants were among the 50 guests, some having flown over from surrounding countries.
"As the first leg of our global expansion, we are excited about our new office in Dubai," said Zain Mahmood, president and chief executive officer of the company. "This region, with significant water stress and need, is an ideal market for Parkson's extended line of products in water and wastewater treatment and provides a tremendous opportunity for Parkson to be successful in helping this region reuse water in a sustainable manner for the long term."
Parkson's past success prompted the decision to open a permanent office in Dubai complete with sales, applications engineering, and field service support capabilities.
In addition, Parkson announced the receipt of its first purchase order since the establishment of its new office in July. The company received an order in August from Saudi ARAMCO in Dharhan, Kingdom Saudi Arabia, where Parkson's solutions will be treating domestic wastewater.
Parkson Middle East will be responsible for all countries in the Middle East and Northern Africa, offering a wide range of components and systems for water and wastewater treatment.
