Agency Program Recognizes Munox Technology
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Design for the Environment (DfE) Program recently recognized Osprey Biotechnics' Munox® brand in the category of biological wastewater treatment in industrial and commercial applications.
The agency program said that Munox® "fully achieves that objective in the industrial and commercial wastewater sector."
Osprey is the first firm to partner with the EPA DfE program on an industrial and commercial biological wastewater treatment. The EPA DfE commended Osprey Biotechnics for "leading change in the industry" with its commitment to manufacturing effective, environmentally responsible products.
The treatment biologically degrades animal and vegetable fats, oils, and greases, as well as petroleum hydrocarbons, without employing any emulsifying agents.
Osprey Biotechnics, a manufacturer of microbial products and cultures, was first recognized by the EPA's DfE program for biological products in 2003. Since that time, Osprey has numerous biological products recognized by the EPA's DfE program.
