Energy Plaza Earns Energy Star Award

Energy Plaza, which is operated by Energy Future Holdings Corp. (EFH), has earned the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Energy Star award, according to an Oct. 6 press release.

Approximately 3,200 buildings nationwide have earned the designation.

"Energy Future Holdings is very pleased to have been awarded the EPA's Energy Star designation as a demonstration of our dedication to energy efficiency," said Chief Executive Officer John Young. "We believe in leading by example, and hope other companies will be encouraged to make a commitment to environmental stewardship in their own workplaces."

Located in Dallas, the Energy Plaza uses about 35 percent less energy than average buildings while still providing quality service and comfort to its occupants. EFH has made several cost-effective improvements during the recent restructuring of Energy Plaza and will continue to explore ways to improve energy efficiency.

EFH is an energy holding company, with a portfolio of competitive and regulated energy subsidiaries, primarily in Texas, including TXU Energy, Luminant, and Oncor.
