Parkson Expands Operations to Middle East, North Africa
Parkson Corp., a wholly owned subsidiary of Axel Johnson Inc, announced on Sept. 10 the official inauguration of a new regional office to support its growing business in the Middle East and North Africa.
The new office, located in the city of Dubai, United Arab Emirates, will be officially inaugurated in October 2008. The company’s success in this growing region has prompted the decision to open a permanent office complete with sales, applications engineering, and field service support capabilities.
In addition, Parkson also announced the receipt of its first purchase order since the establishment of its new office in July. In August, the company received an order from Saudi ARAMCO in Dharan, Kingdom Saudi Arabia, for domestic wastewater treatment.
"As the first leg of our global expansion, we are excited about our new office in Dubai" said Zain Mahmood, president and chief executive officer. "This region, with significant water stress and need, is an ideal market for Parkson’s extended line of products in water and wastewater treatment and provides a tremendous opportunity for Parkson to be successful in helping this region reuse water in a sustainable manner for the long term."
