WEF Issues Call for 2009 Abstracts
The Water Environment Federation (WEF) is seeking abstracts of professional presentations for WEFTEC.09 -- the 82nd annual technical exhibition and conference, according to an Aug. 19 press release.
Scheduled from Oct. 10-14, 2009, the meeting will be held at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla.
WEF is soliciting abstracts on more than 20 water quality topics including: coastal issues; collection systems; microconstituents/endocrine disrupting compounds; disaster planning; facility operations; groundwater; industrial issues and technology; instrumentation, automation and computer applications; international and small island nations' issues; leading edge research; management of odors and volatile organic compounds; municipal wastewater treatment; public education; residuals and biosolids; small community and decentralized water infrastructure; small island nations: water, wastewater and environmental issues (international issues); stormwater management and wet weather flows; surface water quality and ecology; sustainable water resources management; utility and asset management; water and wastewater disinfection; water reuse and reclamation; and watershed-based permitting/total maximum daily loads.

Authors have the opportunity to be part of the technical program and be published in the official conference proceedings. Following the conference, accepted authors may also submit their papers for publication in WEF's peer-reviewed journal, Water Environment Research™.
