MOP Environmental Receives Product Approval
MOP Environmental Solutions, Inc., a green manufacturer of oil-spill removal products, announced that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency approved its patented product MOP® Maximum Oil Pickup, according to a July 16 press release.
The agency found the product to be in compliance with Title 40 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Sections 300.5 and 300.915(g) of the National Contingency Plan.
The company now is approved to provide on-scene oil spill coordinators with the certification as referenced in 300.915(g) of the National Contingency Plan. This certification enables MOP® to be immediately used onsite due to prior approval by EPA for use at any oil spill on land or water upon presentation of the authorized certification received from EPA.
MOP Chief Executive Officer Charles Diamond said: "This approval gives MOP® Maximum Oil Pickup a significant advantage since very few materials are certified for use on both land and water. This EPA certification immediately informs any On-Scene Coordinator that MOP® Maximum Oil Pickup is EPA approved as environmentally safe for use on any oil spill on land or water."
