Renewable Content Highlights Polyurethanes Meeting

More than 30 technical papers relating to the use of polyurethane materials in the construction industry will address critical "green" innovations in renewable content polyols and materials, thermal performance, blowing agents, surfactants, catalysts, and fire retardants at the Polyurethanes 2008 Technical Conference.

Sponsored by the Center for the Polyurethanes Industry of the American Chemistry Council, this year's conference will include more than 100 technical papers and poster presentations, educational seminars, awards, and professional development program. It will be held Sept. 29-Oct. 1 in San Antonio, Texas.

"Construction applications are among the largest and fastest growing areas for polyurethane materials worldwide, and green innovations are dominating the presentation topics again this year" says Neeva-Gayle Candelori of the Center for the Polyurethanes Industry. "There really isn't a better place for construction leaders to make contacts and keep abreast of important trends and advances in green building technologies, global regulations, and other important developments."
