PBS&J Scientist Receives John Ivey Award

The Association of State Floodplain Managers recently presented Jennifer K. Marcy, CFM, an environmental scientist for PBS&J, the John Ivey Award for Superior Efforts in Certification.

The award was established in 2001 to recognize exceptional efforts to promote the professional certification of floodplain managers. Marcy was the principal author and instructor for the CFM examination preparatory course that is offered at association conferences. Through her efforts, the course is being adapted to an exam preparation workshop that will be offered nationwide.

In addition to her involvement with the training program, Marcy has more than seven years of experience in the Federal Emergency Management Agency's National Flood Insurance Program including work on many training, outreach, and research projects. Marcy earned a BS in natural resources from Cornell University.
