Calgon Carbon Awarded $55 Million Contract for Mercury Removal
A major U.S. power generator has awarded a contract to Calgon
Carbon Corp. of Pittsburgh, Pa., to supply its powdered activated
carbon to remove mercury from the flue gas of coal-fired power plants
in the Midwest.
Under terms of the guaranteed contract, the customer has agreed to
purchase a minimum amount of activated carbon valued at $55 million
over the next five years.
Fluepac MC+ and Fluepac CF+ activated carbons were specifically developed to remove mercury from power plant flue gas.
