AECOM to Acquire Boyle Engineering
AECOM Technology Corporation, a provider of professional technical and management support services for government and commercial clients, has entered into an agreement to acquire Boyle Engineering, a Newport Beach, Calif.-based engineering firm that specializes in the water sector, including drinking water, wastewater treatment and water-resource management.
Boyle will further strengthen AECOM's growing environmental practice. Boyle has a strong presence in the southeastern and western United States and employs more than 600 people.
Phil Petrocelli, Boyle president and chief executive officer, said, "Joining AECOM will provide an excellent opportunity to expand our client offerings – by practice area and geographically. The scale and scope of a global leader like AECOM will also benefit our employees through increased professional development opportunities."
Petrocelli will take on a broader leadership role within AECOM's combined water business. He will also join the company's Leadership Council.
