Addressing Ongoing Environmental Challenges and Obstacles

There will always be obstacles in life, don’t let your environment be one! This engaging session will teach attendees about potential environmental obstacles encountered on an ongoing on a daily basis. General indoor air quality (IAQ), mold and the indoor environment, water systems, and ambient noise considerations are potential obstacles that are managed in accordance with EPA regulations and/or guidelines.

Attendees will learn about what good looks like for IAQ and how to prevent, manage, and mitigate mold in the environment. They will be provided with real-world examples of legionella bacteria outbreaks and tips to prevent and mitigate these outbreaks. Attendees will also learn about regulations in place to test for noise and mitigate ambient noise.

Bill Zoeller:
William Zoeller oversees the Claims, Materials, and Indoor Air Quality Service Line within J.S. Held’s Environmental, Health & Safety Practice. He has over two decades of industrial hygiene experience with project design and assessment of remediation, mitigation, and abatement from catastrophic events such as water damage, microbial damage, fires as well as regulated materials assessments and pollution claims. William has a wide range of project experience from residential to large manufacturing facilities, healthcare facilities, educational facilities, and multi-family properties.

Theresa Chimento:
Theresa Chimento is a Vice President and Regional Lead in J.S. Held’s Environmental, Health & Safety Practice. She has over 17 years of environmental consulting experience with project management, design, and assessments for disasters such as catastrophic flooding, hurricanes, fires, and wind damage, as well as for asbestos, lead, and other regulated materials. Theresa is an experienced industrial hygienist having completed evaluations of indoor air quality issues, air monitoring, noise monitoring and light surveys, and emergency response for chemical hazards. Theresa has a wide variety of project experience in properties including residential and multi-family, educational facilities, medical facilities, commercial and public properties, large convention and resort facilities, offshore, and in-plant. 

Bob Costello:
Robert G. Costello is a Certified Industrial Hygienist in J.S. Held’s Environmental, Health & Safety Practice. He has over four decades of experience consulting in the EH&S arena, practicing at site, divisional, and corporate levels. Additionally, Robert has worked with state regulatory agencies and within academic institutions. Now as a consultant, Robert brings his years of experience to aid clients in managing a wide array of EH&S issues and concerns.
