The EPA announced interim agency positions for President Joe Biden’s transition team on Jan. 20, according to Bloomberg Law.
The acting chief of the EPA’s Office of Air and Radiation will be Sarah Dunham, who is currently the director of the Office of Transportation and Air Quality.
Bloomberg Law reports that the new assignments are purely transitional and will probably change after Michael Regan, environmental regulator from North Carolina, is confirmed as the leader of the EPA. During this transitional period, Charlotte Bertrand, the policy chief at the EPA’s water office, will be the acting administrator for the agency.
Further appointments to the EPA’s interim team are Andrew Sawyers as the leader of the Office of Water and Barry Breen, who will lead the Office of Land and Emergency Management.
