Osprey Biotechnics, Inc. has expanded its production capabilities by installing new fermentation and downstream processing equipment at the company's plant in Sarasota, Fla.
The company specializes in producing and stabilizing Pseudomonas and Bacillus cultures for the agricultural, wastewater, industrial, and institutional markets. For plant health, the company breeds cultures that can improve root take-up of nutrients and improve crop yields. For animal health, its products colonize the intestinal tract of animals, and also improve environmental conditions by eliminating ammonia nitrogen compounds in water and litter.
Most of the company's products are provided to re-sellers who market to agriculture with their own brands.
