Mississippi Gets $1 Million for Contaminated Land Cleanup

An estimated $1 million in grants will be used to help communities in Mississippi clean up its brownfields sites.

According to a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency release, the applicant selected to receive brownfields general program funds is Hattiesburg, which will use an assessment coalition grant of $1 million for a community-wide assessment.
