Dow to Present New Products at Membrane Meeting
Dow Water & Process Solutions will present a poster and unveil two new products during the American Membrane Technology Association (AMTA) 2009 Annual Conference and Exposition this week in Austin, Texas.
The new brackish water reverse osmosis elements, the Dow™ FILMTEC™ BW30HR-440i and BW30XFR-400/34i, allow demineralization and other water treatment systems to operate consistently and with less cleaning and maintenance. The elements are designed to work in power plants, manufacturing operations, and municipalities.
According to the company, the elements are essential developments for power generation and electronics manufacturing.
As part of conference, Kelly Lange-Haider, Dow Water & Process Solutions expert, will present a poster on “Working The Bugs Out—Literally,” which details the use of Dow™ Ultrafiltration membranes at an exploratory mine in Montana to treat dewatering flows. The poster session will take place on at 4:30 p.m. today at the Hilton Hotel.
