California-Nevada AWWA Seeks Executive Director

The California – Nevada Section of the American Water Works Association is now recruiting applicants for the position of Executive Director. The Executive Director will be responsible for conducting, managing, and directing all aspects of the Section’s business operations as a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation.

Key to this position will be the ability to implement the strategic goals identified by the Board of Directors, developing and delivering education, programs, services, and events that meet members’ needs. The winning candidate will be adept at ensuring the financial stability of the section, engaging and developing volunteer resources, building strategic partnerships with other organizations, and ensuring that a high level of coordination and cooperation exists with these groups and AWWA.

“We are conducting a nationwide search for the right person to lead this important section, “said Phil Holderness, chair of the California – Nevada Section. “We need someone focused on Customer Service, with the ability to help our members navigate today’s water industry challenges, and skilled in the very specialized area of non-profit management. Our search is broad in scope, as we want to find the best possible leadership for our section.”

The California-Nevada Section is the largest of AWWA’s 43 sections with nearly 7,000 members. The Section works to lead and educate the drinking water industry by providing a variety of services and activities including conferences, workshops, seminars, publications, certification and events.

Application deadline is Nov. 29. Application, Job Description, and Background Information is available at http://ca-nv-awwa.org/.
