Stephen Koenigsberg Joins Adventus Americas

Stephen S. Koenigsberg, Ph.D., has joined Adventus Americas, Inc., as vice president, based in the company's Corona del Mar, Calif., office.

Well-known for his contributions to in situ remediation and site diagnostics, Koenigsberg will bring Adventus technical advancements in various areas of the environmental sciences. He will continue his work in evolving integrative programs that support rapid site remediation and closure for what is still a substantial world-wide inventory of environmentally impacted sites.

“Steve’s contributions to the development of in situ and on-site remediation products, strategies, and services are recognized internationally, " said Alan Seech, Ph.D., chief executive officer of Adventus Americas Inc., “and his more recent work in advancing protocols to expedite site closure represents an important part of the future of our industry.”

Koenigsberg joins Adventus from his recent position as a principal at Environ, an international environmental consultantcy practice. He began his career in environmental remediation as a co-founder and vice president for R&D with Regenesis, where he co-invented and developed the company’s remediation products. He received his master's and doctorate degree from Cornell University and is an adjunct professor at the California State University at Fullerton. He has published more than 150 technical articles, books and patents on remediation science and advanced site diagnostics with an emphasis on environmental biotechnology.
