Schlobohm to Manage Aqua North Carolina Operations

Aqua North Carolina, Inc. of Cary, N.C., has appointed David Schlobohm operations manager. In this position, he is responsible for the company’s North Carolina operations, including 796 water and 60 wastewater facilities (maintenance and construction) and the company’s capital program.

“[Schlobohm's] utility experience coupled with his years of environmental and development experience has provided him a unique expertise that will be well suited in his position as operations manager,” said Tom Roberts, company president.

Schlobohm came from Collier Enterprises Management where he was director of utilities for the company, which manages a broad range of businesses engaged in real estate investment and development. Among his career highlights over the past 20 years, he served as director of utilities for Charlotte County Government in Fla.; vice president-Southeast Region for Omega Environmental Services in Lakeland, Fla.; and senior vice president/director of operations for ITT Industries-Palm Coast Utility in Palm Coast, Fla.

He is a professional engineer currently licensed in North Carolina, Georgia, and Washington, and is pursuing Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design accreditation.

Aqua North Carolina, Inc. is the largest private water and wastewater utility in North Carolina and serves approximately 200,000 residents in more than 40 counties throughout the state.
