Arkansas Gets Nearly $1 M for Pollution Program

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has awarded $950,000 to the Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) to plan and implement a comprehensive water pollution program, according to a Dec. 18 press release.

The ADEQ program will monitor surface water and groundwater and issue and enforce discharge permits. Data gathered from the program will also be used to revise and update water quality standards and their water quality management plan.
