A&WMA Presents Two Conferences
The Air & Waste Management Association (A&WMA) will present the Symposium on Air Quality Measurement Methods and Technology on Nov. 3-6 in Chapel Hill, N.C., and the Hazardous Waste Combustors Conference and Exhibition, Nov. 12-14 in Galveston, Texas.
"[The symposium] will provide a forum for attendees to discuss all aspects of air quality," said Adrianne Carolla, A&WMA executive director. "Environmental professionals practicing in academia, industry, consulting firms, and government agencies won't want to miss this opportunity to investigate and address the most recent progress made in measurements technology."
Ambient and indoor air, point and area sources, vapor intrusion, chemical speciation of particulate matter, and ambient monitoring methods are just some of the topics that will be covered. The symposium will feature an exhibition, concurrent sessions, and professional development courses.
The second November conference will focus on hazardous waste combustion and related regulatory issues.
Carolla said it "provides a timely opportunity for attendees to discuss the new HWC MACT compliance standards."
The conference will feature paper and panel discussions that include technical information about hazardous waste combustion maximum achievable control technology regulatory updates and implementation approaches, emissions testing, public communications, and risk assessment. Trade association perspectives, reuse and recycling opportunities, testing and instrumentation, regional perspectives, and the status of HWC MACT permitting in various states will also be covered.
