120WaterAudit Provides a New Solution to Clean Water
As headlines pop up around the country of contaminated water sources in places like Newark and Flint, 120WaterAudit has stepped up with a technological solution.
As of today, the water testing software platform 120WaterAudit published a press release about its new solution to contaminated drinking water. Born out of the Flint water crisis, 120WaterAudit has been working on ways to help communities stay safe by modernizing technology and water sources.
Within the past two years, 120WaterAudit won the Ride of the Rest pitch competition, quickly followed by the company’s acceptance into Imagine H20’s accelerator cohort. Its vision? To build more sustainable solutions for water resource management so that situations like Flint and Newark do not continue to occur.

120WaterAudit works with various cities and schools to modernize water technologies and ensure water safety. Among those it works with are Chicago Public Schools and the City of Pittsburgh.
Today, the company announced a $7 million effort with other groups to fund technology and management services to communities to ensure better water quality. It published the following press release today:

Indianapolis —September 17, 2019 — 120WaterAudit, the industry-leading cloud-based water software platform, today announced $7 million in Series A funding, led by HG Ventures — the corporate venture arm of The Heritage Group, partnering with innovative, high-growth companies to support a sustainable future — with participation from Allos Ventures and Greenhouse Capital. Funds will be used to enhance 120WaterAudit’s Digital Water Cloud platform and rapidly expand sales and marketing.
According to a 2018 study, nearly half of all U.S. students go to schools in states that do not have specific programs for testing drinking water and more than 40 percent of schools turned up samples with higher than recommended levels of lead. 120WaterAudit’s software and kits are used by government agencies, public water systems and facilities tasked with executing such regulated and voluntary water programs. 120WaterAudit manages over 150,000 locations in 12 states impacting more than 4.5 million lives.
