CARB Hosting Event for Truckers on Clean Air Rules

State air quality experts will provide truck drivers and fleet owners with the latest information to help them comply with the clean air requirements and upcoming rule deadlines.

The California Air Resources Board announced that it is hosting a "one-stop" informational event on April 3 near Bishop, Calif., to inform truckers about the state's clean air rules. State air quality experts will provide truck drivers and fleet owners with the latest information to help them comply with the clean air requirements and upcoming rule deadlines. They also will offer one-on-one compliance assistance, in English and Spanish, and details about available financial aid for equipment upgrades.

Advanced-technology vehicles, mock truck inspections, funding presentations, and a variety of equipment vendors will all be on site at the event.

CARB officials and local agencies will take part in the 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. event at the Charles Brown Auditorium, Eastern Sierra Tri-County Fairgrounds located at the corner of Sierra Street and Coats Street.

Space is limited, and truck owners and operators are encouraged to sign up ahead of time. Admission and parking are free.
