Cascades Antibacterial Towel Wins Edison Award

Cascades Antibacterial paper towel won Gold honors in the Edison Awards Consumer Packaged Goods: Cleaning Solutions Category.

Cascades new antibacterial paper towel was launched in October 2012 and is a safe and effective way to reduce bacterial contamination. The paper towel has received Gold honors in the Edison Awards after an international judging panel of about 3,000 business executives and leaders from the product development, design, engineering, science and medicine fields made the decision.

“We’re incredibly proud of this product and pleased to receive this distinguished honor,” said Suzanne Blanchet, Cascades Tissue Group CEO. “Eighty percent of infections are transmitted by hands, so we believe this innovation can have a significant impact on overall public health.”

The Cascades Antibacterial paper towel is dry to the touch, green in color, and kills 99.99 percent of bacteria that comes into contact with people when they wash their hands. The product also reduces the risk of contamination in areas such as food service, schools, and work.
