Sustainable Materials Management Workshop Held in Austin

The EPA, the City of Austin, and the State of Texas Alliance for Recycling are hosting a workshop, Sustainable Materials Management: Bringing Everyone and Everything Together, on Feb. 25 and 26.

Beginning at 9 a.m. today, the EPA is co-hosting a sustainable materials workshop with the City of Austin and the State of Texas Alliance for Recycling (STAR). The workshop is meant to promote the use and reuse of materials that are most productive and sustainable throughout their life cycles. The event will be held at the Palmer Events Center, located at 900 Barton Springs Road in Austin, TX.

Experts from the EPA, STAR, and Austin Resource Recovery will be there to facilitate discussions about achievements in sustainable materials management. Prior registration for the workshop is not required, but media members will need to check in at the registration area once they arrive. The workshop will begin at 9 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 25 and last until 5 p.m. On Tuesday, the workshop will be open from 8:30a.m until noon.
